The WNA is planning a Neighborhood Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 17, 2014, beginning at 8:00 AM. We will meet in the parking lot of the Woodmere Park on Woodmere Drive. Bring items that you can use to assist in the cleanup. It will be a good way to meet new neighbors and at the same time, clean up areas in the neighborhood that need attention. Show your support by helping with this project.
I would ask that each of you go to our website, www.woodmeremontgomery.com, and look under Resources. You will be able to find Fifteen (15) city ordinances for review. The Crime Prevention/Ordinance Enforcement Committee is now ready to serve the residents of Woodmere with any complaint or concern that you might have. We would like for everyone to channel their complaint or concern through firstname.lastname@example.org . This will allow the committee to keep up with the complaints and concerns of our residents, and also to follow through to resolution. Some of the ordinances pertain to animals, dogs running at large, soliciting, signs in yards and right-of-ways, littering, overgrown grass and weeds, parking in the yards, junked and abandoned vehicles, and noise. The committee will handle the complaint and concern and only the committee will know of your request. All concerns and complaints will be held in confidence to attempt to keep you from being involved if the complaint or concern might involve a neighbor.
The Crime Prevention/Ordinance Enforcement Committee is determined to make Woodmere the premier place to live in Montgomery. With everyone looking out for each other and reporting your concerns and complaints to the committee, we can be crime free and have a beautiful neighborhood.
Our next WNA General Meeting on May 8, 2014 will be devoted to ordinance enforcement. We will have the Chief Inspector of Housing Codes, Mr. Thomas Karrh, of the City of Montgomery, as our guest speaker. Please plan to attend and have your complaints and concerns addressed.
Please email us any ideas that would help our neighborhood. Our email address is listed to the left. If you would like to be an Officer, Zone Coordinator, Block Captain or a member of a committee, let us know. You can make a difference by becoming active in the Association.
